Herald Team

A major fire broke out at the Golden Royale Banquet Hall in West Delhi’s Moti Nagar area on Monday evening, triggering a swift and large-scale response from the Delhi Fire Services (DFS). Though the fire was brought under control within two hours, officials fear that one or two individuals may still be trapped inside the building.

The blaze reportedly started around 8:30 pm in the multi-storey banquet hall located on Najafgarh Road in the Industrial Area of Moti Nagar. The DFS received its first alert at 8:47 pm from concerned commuters who witnessed the flames engulfing the structure.

Multiple fire tenders were rushed to the scene, and emergency crews worked through the night to contain the fire and search for potential survivors. As of late Monday night, rescue operations were still ongoing, with officials cautiously optimistic but concerned about unaccounted individuals.

The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and a detailed investigation is expected once the area is fully secured.
