The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from northwestern regions, including parts of Rajasthan, Punjab, and Gujarat. However, multiple cyclonic circulations are set to keep much of the country wet in the coming days. Northeast states like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya are on alert for heavy rainfall, while Bihar, Jharkhand, and Sikkim brace for very heavy downpours. Southern states including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana will continue to receive rain with gusty winds, while Maharashtra’s Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra are forecast for extremely heavy spells. In Delhi-NCR, the skies will remain partly cloudy with temperatures slightly above normal before dipping later in the week.
