In a letter to shareholders dated August 7, Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said the company is undergoing a fundamental transformation — reimagining its future and reshaping its businesses to become a cutting-edge deep-tech enterprise.
“Reliance is no longer just a company — it is a national institution powering opportunity, progress, and prosperity for 1.45 billion Indians,” Ambani wrote.
Reflecting on Reliance’s journey, Ambani highlighted its pivotal role in transforming traditional industries, building global-scale capabilities, and creating new markets that touch everyday lives. He noted, however, that the company doesn’t rest on past successes. “Every milestone has only motivated us to aim higher, work harder, and lead with purpose,” he said.
Ambani pointed to rapid changes driven by digital disruption and global technological shifts. But rather than viewing these as challenges, Reliance sees them as opportunities to evolve boldly and stay ahead of the curve.
“From energy to entertainment, from retail to digital services, we are embedding next-gen technologies into every business vertical,” Ambani said.
The company is currently supported by a team of over 1,000 in-house scientists working on cutting-edge research in artificial intelligence, renewable energy, advanced materials, and digital platforms.
To complement this transformation, Reliance is also upgrading its manufacturing infrastructure to align with India’s ambition of becoming a global manufacturing hub. This evolution, Ambani said, mirrors India’s own journey as it enters the Amrit Kaal, a decisive phase towards becoming a fully developed Viksit Bharat.
Highlighting the nation’s economic resilience despite global uncertainty, Ambani said India is now setting global trends, from UPI and the India AI Mission to green energy leadership and advances in space technology.
“This is India’s moment,” he declared. “And Reliance is proud to walk shoulder-to-shoulder with the nation, as a committed partner, a responsible value creator, and a technology-driven enabler of inclusive growth.”
Despite global headwinds, Ambani noted that Reliance delivered a year of strong and balanced performance, underpinned by its diversified business model and disciplined execution.
“Our results speak for themselves. Even in volatile times, we’ve demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and sustained momentum,” he said.
