On May 12, two days after the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today (Monday). During his speech, PM Modi strongly criticized Pakistan and terrorism, and boosted the morale of the Indian soldiers. Speaking about Operation Sindoor, PM Modi said that it was a pledge to justice. He mentioned that after Operation Sindoor, "Pakistan was preparing for a strike at the border, but India struck at its heart."

PM Modi also stated, "The forces made precise attacks on terrorist camps in Pakistan. No one had expected that India would take such a step." He emphasized, "When India's missiles and drones struck terrorist bases in Pakistan, the terrorists' morale was shattered."
Modi also declared, "India will not tolerate nuclear blackmail," and asserted, "We will continue to strike terrorism." He added, "On the battlefield, we have always defeated Pakistan. Operation Sindoor has added a new dimension to this." He pointed out, "The world has witnessed the power of our indigenous weapons."
"This is not an era of war, but it is not an era of terrorism either," he said. Modi continued, "The alliance between the Pakistani army and the Pakistani government will eventually lead to Pakistan's downfall."
The Prime Minister made India's position clear: "Terror and talks cannot go hand in hand. Trade and terror cannot coexist. Water and blood cannot flow together." He concluded by saying, "I tell the world that when we talk about Pakistan, it will be about terror and PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir)."
