Herald Team

A Special Cell team of Delhi Police on Sunday foiled a fresh attack plot by arresting two shooters linked to the Neeraj Faridpuria–Himanshu Bhau gang. The men had earlier carried out the firing outside YouTuber Elvish Yadav’s Gurugram home.

The accused were identified as Gaurav Singh, 22, a resident of Faridabad with a past criminal record, and Aditya Tiwari, 19, a BCA student from Bihar. Acting on a tip-off, police surrounded them near Khera Canal in Rohini, where one suspect tried to draw a pistol before being overpowered.

A pistol, ammunition, and a phone were seized. Police said the gang had arranged the weapons and finances for the Gurugram attack, which was claimed online by Bhau’s associates. During questioning, the accused revealed they had first tried to escape to the Nepal border but were summoned back to Delhi for another job.

A case has been filed under the Arms Act, and efforts are on to identify financiers and remaining gang members.
