PANJIM: The Crime Branch police have registered a case against 14 persons for fraudulently preparing forged documents i.e. notarised deeds, succession deeds and sale deeds of the owners from Anjuna and Assagao villages.
In his complaint filed by Anup Singh Rauthan, Joint Director of Enforcement Directorate, Panjim, stated that accused with their common intention fraudulently prepared forged documents i.e. notarised deeds, succession deeds and sale deeds of the owners of Anjuna village having Survey Nos. 215/6, 426/19, 426/20, 225/3, 494/4, 456/4, 339/2, 14/11, 213/22, 426/14 and 214/2 and the owners of Assagao village having Survey Nos. 40/2, 202/3, 201/3, 43/4, 149/1, 53/4, 124/1 and 160/2 and produced the same before the concerned authorities and succeeded in transferring the ownership rights thereby deprived the owners of property from enjoying their legal rights and cheated them.
The 14 accused named in the complaint are Mohammad Suhail, Rajkumar Maithi, Vikrant Shetty, Caetano Fernandes, Meena Naik, Omkar Palyekar, Ramchandra Dabolkar, Sandrik Fernandes, Royson Rodrigues, Dhivesh Naik, Shivanand Madkaikar, Rita Fernandes, Siddesh Parab and Sunil Kumar. Besides this, the complainant has also stated that some unknown persons are involved in preparing the forged property documents.
