PANJIM: The Anti Narcotics Cell of Goa Police on Saturday arrested two Himachal natives with 1.9 kg charas worth Rs 9.5 lakh at Morjim.
According to information, the team of Anti Narcotics Cell of Goa Police conducted a narcotics raid at a parking lot behind Morjim Khind garden and apprehended 48-year-old Purvan Chand and 44-year-old Kishori Lal for possessing charas worth over Rs 9.5 lakh in the international market.
The seized contraband was found concealed in the shoulder bag meant for illegal sale to tourists visiting Goa during the ongoing tourist season, ANC said.
ANC informed that an FIR under NDPS Act has been registered at Anti Narcotic Cell police station on Sunday against the accused.
