PERNEM: Pernem Police on Sunday arrested three residents of Querim and seized drugs worth Rs one crore.
PI Jivba Dalvi said reliable information was obtained with regards to illegal drug activities being carried out from a residence at Querim. The Pernem Police team headed by PI Dalvi raided the residence and during the search cannabis worth Rs 5,00,000, ganja worth Rs 1,30,000 and charas worth Rs 1,02,20000 were seized. Rama Kerkar (22), Rashmi Kerkar (44) and Shivaji Kerkar (34) all residents of Querim were arrested under Sections 20(a)(i), 20(b)(ii)(B), 20(b)(ii)(C) r/w section 29 of NDPS Act.
The raiding team also comprised of PSI Sanjit Kanolkar, PSI Harish Vaigankar, PSI Vivek Haldankar, PC Vinod Pednekar, Ravi Maloji, Anishkumar Poke, Yeshodeep Ugevekar, Jivan Govekar, Mahesh Naik, Uday Gosavi, Mithil Parab, Bhaskar Chari, LPC Smita Gawas and LHG Trupti Satoskar.
This was the forth narcotic raid conducted by Pernem Police since September. PI Dalvi is further investigating the case.
