Sylvan Bondla Ecotourism Cottages Inaugurated to Promote Sustainable Tourism in Goa

PONDA: In a significant move towards promoting sustainable tourism and fostering a deeper connection with nature, the Sylvan Bondla Ecotourism Cottages were officially inaugurated by the Minister for Forests, Vishwajit Rane and Chairperson of the Goa Forest Development Corporation, Dr. Deviya Rane.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Deviya Rane, emphasised the importance of responsible tourism. She said, “The Sylvan Bondla Ecotourism Cottages reflect our vision of combining luxury with sustainability. By allowing guests to experience the pristine beauty of Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, we aim to raise eco-awareness and ensure the continued preservation of our natural resources. This project is not only a step forward in sustainable tourism but also in empowering local communities.”

Situated in the heart of the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, the newly launched cottages represent a key milestone in Goa’s eco-tourism initiatives. Designed to blend seamlessly with the natural environment, the ten fully-furnished, air-conditioned cottages offer a peaceful retreat for nature lovers, bird watchers, and those seeking a quiet getaway.

Guests can enjoy an all-inclusive experience, which includes comfortable lodging, delectable meals, guided nature trails, visits to the Bondla Zoo, and a range of immersive activities aimed at fostering a greater appreciation for Goa’s rich biodiversity.

The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Kamal Datta, Chief Wildlife Warden Praveen Kumar Raghav, Managing Director of GFDC Nandkumar Parab, General Manager of GFDC Amar, Zilla Panchayat Member Umakant Gawade, and the Sarpanch of Usgao, Ramnath Dangui.
