Bardez Bazaar chairman voted out

MAPUSA: The Bardez Bazaar Consumer Cooperative Society Chairman Jaywant Naik was voted out in a no confidence motion, on Wednesday.

MAPUSA: The Bardez Bazaar Consumer Cooperative Society Chairman Jaywant Naik was voted out in a no confidence motion, on Wednesday. 
The Bardez Bazaar has 14 directors of whom 13 voted against Naik.
The no confidence was moved against Naik, as according to the directors, he never implemented the resolutions passed in the board of directors meetings; he also fabricated the minutes of the meetings.
Dharma Naik, a director and a former chairman, said that this was the first time in the history of the society a no confidence motion was moved against its chairman.
After being voted out, Jaywant Naik said that though he has been voted out on Wednesday, but the directors did not reply to his show-cause notice. He also alleged illegalities in the operation of the bazaar. He feared that if the illegalities are not stopped it would ruin the society.
Bardez Bazaar legal advisor Adv Ramakant Khalap blamed the government for the internal squabbling in the society.
