Cargo ship MSC Chitra partly submerged after a collision with another vessel MV Khalijia-111, off the Mumbai coast. The collision on Saturday caused an oil leak from two of the 12 tanks of MSC Chitra which had got damaged. By Monday around 500 tonnes of oil is believed to have leaked into the Arabian sea, threatening marine life and ecology along the Mumbai coastline.
