MArgao: NCP MLA Churchill Alemao has thanked the Prime Minister, Chief Minister, Home Minister and others who have helped and aided the process of repatriating the seafarers, while referring to the letter he had written to them.
In a pointed remark, Churchill added that he has left it to God to give justice to the persons who says politicized the seafarer issue.
He elaborated on this at a press conference and said, “The Central government is not of NCP, Congress or AAP, it is of BJP. For the sake of my seafarer brothers, I have begged and pleaded to the Centre to ensure the return of seafarers.”
While taking potshots at his critics especially MLA Vijai Sardesai, Rohan Khaunte and other people; Churchill said, "God has given us the mouth to speak so we should think before speaking."
He asked Vijai why is he still a part of the NDA if he doesn’t like the BJP. “You (Vijai) will join back if you are given a ministry again,” quipped Churchill.
He added that he doesn’t want to take credit for the entire matter nor does he want to politicize the issue. “However, it is important to mention that after we have written to the Centre and the Home Ministry, the movement has happened" Churchill added.
