CANACONA:  A cobra that was rescued from a house in Canacona was seen regurgitating plastic bottle which was stuck in his stomach.
Wildlife rescuer Gautam Bhagat, who is working in Canacona area, has documented this scene after he rescued the cobra that had entered a house at Caurem.
The footage, which has gone viral, shows cobra with a bulged stomach throwing out a plastic bottle after it was rescued as he rolls on the rough ground in the village.
"When I saw the cobra, I thought he has eaten some animal. It's stomach was bulging. When I rescued him I was shocked that the bottle began travelling from his stomach towards the mouth," Bhagat said.
After few minutes of struggle, the cobra regurgitated the green coloured soft drink bottle, he said.
A senior state forest department official said that this is the first ever documented scene showing cobra throwing out a plastic bottle.
"The snakes usually have a tendency to empty undigested things from their stomach when they are caught so that they can escape," he said.
