PANJIM: Continuing reforms in property records through e-governance, the State government has announced issuing of computer generated documents of Records of Rights and Survey plan, which would be considered valid as compared to the digitally or manually signed land records.

The Revenue Department in a circular issued on Thursday has said the latest land records can be seen or verified for authenticity on the DSLR website.

The department had last month issued a notification amending the Goa Land Revenue (Inspection Search and Supply of Copies of Land Records) Rules 2021 stating that copies or extracts of the computerised property record, maps or plan issued online, without any signature, will be considered valid.

Joint Secretary Revenue Paresh Fal Dessai said the department is currently issuing digitally signed documents of records of rights and survey plans through online system. “Now moving a step ahead in the field of e-governance and to provide instant service, the government has also introduced the system of issuing computer generated copies of land records by amending the Goa Land Revenue Rules, 2021,” he said.

Dessai said the people or government departments can now avail the facility of obtaining computer generated land records like Form I & XIV, Form XV, Form D, Form J or Survey Plan.

“These computer generated land records will have the same validity as compared to the digitally or manually signed land records,” he said.

The department said the document will bear the endorsement as: “The record is computer generated on…

(date and time)…as per…(online reference number). This record is valid without any signature”.

Dessai has directed all the concerned authorities to accept the computer generated land records and authentic documents for all legal purposes without causing further public inconvenience.
