Da Cunha has said that she resigned as secretary of the St Ana sport club on April 14, 2015 and denied that she is an active member of the club.
Last Monday Herald had reported that four panch members were opposing the proposal to construct a new panchayat building stating personal interests of the sarpanch.
The sarpanch stated that for the last few years the panchayat has been aiming to construct a new panchayat ghar with modern amenities as the place where the present panchayat house is situated is in an area of 40-50 sq mtrs which is too small to store the panchayat records and hold regular meetings.
She said that allegation leveled by the four panch members is to tarnish her image and rubbished all the allegations. She mentioned that St Ana Sports Club has given the land to construct the Panchayat Ghar free of cost and she has acted in a very transparent manner.
