DoE appoints 40 headmasters to govt schools

PANJIM: Directorate of Education (DoE) on Tuesday issued an order appointing 40 full time headmasters to government schools and vice-principals for government Higher Secondary Schools.

PANJIM: Directorate of Education (DoE) on Tuesday issued an order appointing 40 full time headmasters to government schools and vice-principals for government Higher Secondary Schools.
“On the recommendation of the GPSC, the government is pleased to promote officers in the cadre of teacher grade I/Sr Instructor/Asstt District education inspector/middle school headmaster to the posts in the cadre of vice principal teachers training college/vice-principal government higher secondary schools/ headmasters government high schools, Group B gazetted in level 10 of pay matrix of 7th Pay Commission with immediate effect,” states the order.
The order states that the newly-appointed headmaster shall be on probation for a period of two years.
It also states that the new appointees shall give their acceptance or refusal of the promotion in writing within a period of 10 days of the order failing which it shall be taken as refusal of promotion and the teacher shall be debarred for promotion for a period of one year from the date of refusal of promotion or till next vacancy arises whichever is later.
