Dr Marlon is advisor to GMC

PANJIM: Dr Marlon Pereira, who served as an advisor to health minister in 2007-12, is now appointed as the advisor to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC). 
Health Minister Vishwajit Rane on Sunday announced appointment of Dr Pereira as the advisor to GMC. “He is an ex-student of GMC and member of the advisory council to the Health Ministry in my earlier tenure,” Rane said. 
Rane said that Dr Pereira’s vast experience in the medical field would help the government in bringing in new initiatives and improved facilities in the health sector. 
The minister said that the advisor would advise and guide the government for smooth and effective functioning and delivery of services at GMC.
