PANJIM: Goa Police directed the organisers of electronic dance music (EDM) festival Timeout 72 not to exceed number of tickets mentioned in the proposal.
Timeout 72 proposed to host EDM festival at Vagator in December from 27 - 29 and organizers have said that only 25-30 thousands tickets will be printed. Goa Police have instructed the organisers to limit the number of tickets in view of traffic managements and security measures.
The meeting between Goa Police and the local representatives of the EDM organizers was held earlier this week. The meeting was attended by North Goa district Police, Traffic Cell, Anti-Terrorist Squad and Special Branch.
“This is the first meeting that was held just for the coordination between the Police and organisers. We have given our list of requirements to them to be made available if government permits the EDM at Vagator,” a senior Police officer of Goa Police said.
Officers also said that a detailed proposal of fixing of CCTVs, watch towers, barricading, guards, parking areas etc has been discussed with the organisers.
This time Police have proposed for extra CCTV cameras and watch towers at the venue with designated fire and emergency exit routes from the venue.
