PANJIM: Ad guru, renowned former Creative Director of Lintas and respected film-maker across genres Adi Pocha has found his second home in Goa.

His regular Friday Blog, ‘My blog this Friday’  brings to life both the mundane and the magnificent,  and his Podcast ‘Fellowship of Lost Creative Souls’ is set to become a treasure chest of the finest conversations with India’s creative and other gems. In his latest blog, he wrote about newspapers and graciously mentioned what

O Heraldo means to him. O Heraldo shares the extracts of that portion of his blog with its readers.

“Eventually, when I started spending a little time each month at my second home and writing cave in Goa, I decided that along with the national paper, I must also take at least one regional paper.

Which is when I discovered, O Heraldo”, Pocha says in his post.

“Now I am sure that most people who visit Goa, people who have probably visited Goa hundreds of times, have never read O Heraldo,” the ad guru states.

“O Heraldo on the other hand is Goa. Usually speaking about land grabbing and bars closing and sharing of river waters and the sad loss of Goan culture. The writing too is different… more earthy, written somewhat like the Goans speak,” the former Creative Director of Lintas says.

“More passionate, with more depth of feeling, asking questions, searching, challenging, not merely reporting. The sort of paper that goes well with a good omlette poi,” Pocha states.

Pocha further states: “The sort of paper that feels like the people, like the earth, like the soil of the state. Which of course brings me to the question: What is the news I wish to read? Do I really want to spend my precious morning, only reading about which politician migrated to which party, who has how much strength in parliament, who is trying to topple whom, who is at which summit, cutting what ribbon, giving what message?”
