PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) president Girish Chodankar on Tuesday alleged that Speaker was biased.

Speaking after the order was delivered, Chodankar said that the disqualification order was on expected lines and alleged that it was drafted by the ‘Super Chief Minister’ in BJP. He further alleged that the Speaker was biased and had kept the petition pending for nearly 20 months and had to deliver his judgement only after the Supreme Court intervened.

“It is our victory. We got the order because of Supreme Court directives to the Speaker. Speaker had failed to decide the matter within a reasonable time and was sleeping over the matter and was deciding it in a partisan manner,” Chodankar said.

Asked whether he would challenge the Speaker’s order before the High Court or the Supreme Court, Chodankar said that party’s legal teams will assess all options available in law including mentioning it before the Supreme Court on Thursday.
