PANJIM: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal has paid close attention to the developments in Goa – be it in COVID-19 management or in politics – and said that the coastal State can learn from the national capital’s experience.
In an interview to Herald, he said that he believes that aggressive testing and isolation is the only way to break the chain of COVID-19 infection and that alongside measures taken to revive the economy, having an effective management process is the key.
Speaking about how Delhi has been dealing with the pandemic, he said that working with all the stakeholders, use of scientific intervention and building confidence in the people are very important.
Coming to politics, he said that he feel Goans have been let down given that the State is the first to have such large scale defections and that it’s unfortunate that peoples’ votes are sold by their leaders who join another party after the elections.
He also said that the Delhi Model can be replicated in Goa and locals deserve honest people friendly governance, which AAP represents.
