Panjim: The common accusation of the State government being run on hollow promises is not new and now, the commoners are also dragging the government employees on social media for being laid back and lazy.
A Goan local youth on his social media expressed annoyance over not getting an income certificate despite applying for it on 'Goa Online' government website more than 40 days ago. The respective youth posted on his social media "On 15th November, 2022, I applied for the income certificate and it has been forty days since then. The website says that the procedure takes only one day. Can anyone help me?," and tagged MP Vinay Tendulkar, CM Pramod Sawant, BJP leader Narendra Sawaikar and GFP's Durgadas Kamat.
"Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant often talks about e-governance but a mere income certificate takes a month to be prepared. The government officials themselves do not take the words of the chief minister seriously," said Durgadas Kamat.
Locals have opined that instead of only stressing on providing online services poorly, the government should first train the employees to handle the modern technology first.
