The South Goa Administrator of Communidades has issued a firm directive to the owners of alleged illegal structures on Survey No. 4/1 in Chicolna village, instructing them to vacate the encroached land within 30 days and restore it to its original condition.
According to the official order, failure to comply with the directive will result in the forcible removal of the structures without any further notice, and the cost of demolition and restoration will be recovered from the respondents.
The action comes amid rising concerns over unauthorized occupation of Communidade lands in several parts of Goa. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to protecting such lands from illegal encroachments and have warned that similar action will be taken in other cases under review.
This directive marks a significant step in the administration’s ongoing crackdown on illegal land use and encroachments across the state.
