Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday clarified that the BJP government has not imposed any ban on the United Tribal Association Alliance (UTAA), dismissing allegations of political interference in the matter.

Addressing concerns raised over recent developments within the UTAA, CM Sawant stated, “The government has no involvement in the internal affairs of the association. We are not creating any division.”

The clarification comes amid growing speculation and criticism regarding the state's alleged role in creating discord within tribal organisations. Sawant reiterated that his administration remains committed to the welfare of tribal communities and respects the independence of their associations.
