ED Panaji Seizes 15 Properties Across Goa Under PMLA, Orders Occupants to Vacate

The Enforce ment Directorate (ED), Panaji Zonal Office, has taken possession of 15 immovable properties across Goa under the Pre vention of Money Laun dering Act (PMLA), 2002, following confirmation of provisional attachment orders by the Adjudicat ing Authority. A notice issued on Sep tember 19, 2025, states that the attached proper ties include land and res idential houses located in Anjuna, Assagao, Parra, Nerul, Calangute, Verna and a flat in Margao. In a separate case, the ED also took possession of a bungalow in Taleigao, valued at over Rs 51 lakh. Additionally, two prop erties in Verna, Salcete, have been seized, with attached shares valued at over Rs 36 lakh. The ED has directed that all attached prop erties remain intact and shall not be transferred, mortgaged, or disposed of in any manner with out prior approval. Occu pants, if any, have been instructed to vacate the premises within 10 days and hand over possession to the authorities.

Furthermore, any lease or rent income generated from these assets must be deposited with the Directorate of En forcement, Panaji. These assets will remain under the control and disposal of the Enforcement Directorate until further proceedings under the Act are concluded. Praful Vilas Wable, Deputy Director, Directorate of En forcement, Panaji, Zonal Office, has prohibited and re strained all those concerned until further order from trans ferring or charging the properties by sale, gift, mortgage, pledge or otherwise in any manner whatsoever.
