Global Teen Innovators Showcase Tech Prototypes at Maker’s Asylum in Moira

Herald Team

In the quiet village of Moira this Sunday, the buzz of 3D printers, laser cutters and youthful energy will take centre stage as 77 students, aged 13 to 18, present their tech prototypes after a week of intense collaboration and experimentation. The event marks the final showcase of the 2025 summer edition of the Innovation School, hosted by Maker’s Asylum — a hands-on learning space that has been drawing young innovators to Goa for immersive educational residencies since 2021.

Organised over five cohorts since May 26, the Innovation School brought together students from 17 Indian cities — including Panjim, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Udaipur, Faridabad, Haldwani and others — and from five countries: India, UAE, Sweden, Singapore, and the United States. Participants formed 24 teams to work on real-world challenges using design thinking, electronics, and fabrication.

While six teams will publicly present their builds this weekend, all 24 projects will be introduced at the open house.
