Revenue Minister Babush Monserrate is set to table The Goa Land Revenue Code (Amendment) Bill, 2025 in the State Legislative Assembly today. Speaking ahead of the Assembly session, Monserrate confirmed that the Bill had been presented earlier and is now being reintroduced for further discussion and passage.
“We had presented this Bill earlier,” the Minister stated, hinting at the government's continued push to update and streamline Goa’s land revenue laws through legislative reforms.
The amendment is expected to address key aspects of land administration and revenue procedures, although specific details of the proposed changes have yet to be publicly disclosed. The Bill’s reintroduction signals the government's intent to modernize outdated provisions in the existing Goa Land Revenue Code and improve governance in the state’s land-related matters.
Further deliberations and reactions from Opposition leaders are anticipated once the Bill is formally introduced in the House.
