A container truck reportedly transporting a consignment of liquor bottles illegally caught fire on the Mapusa-Colvale highway, leading to a dramatic scene on Tuesday. The truck’s cabin was completely gutted in the blaze, though no casualties were reported.
Eyewitnesses said the fire broke out suddenly, and despite efforts from locals to control the flames, the cabin was reduced to ashes. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation.
