Santosh Varak was arrested for assaulting ward in-charge Suresh Sinari after being questioned for late reporting.
The incident took place at Sankhali Community Health Centre on July 2.
Police booked him under BNS sections related to assault and obstruction of duty.
A 38-year-old Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) worker, Santosh Varak, was arrested for allegedly abusing and slapping ward in-charge Suresh Sinari at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Sankhali.
The incident occurred on July 2 when Sinari confronted Varak about arriving late for duty. Following the altercation, police registered a case against Varak under BNS Sections 352 (assault), 132 (obstructing public servant), and 221.
Authorities said the matter is under further investigation, and appropriate action will be taken as per the law.
