Vijai Sardesai Urges Centre to Prioritize Goans in Postal Recruitment

Goa Forward Party (GFP) president Vijai Sardesai has urged Union Civil Aviation and Postal Services Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to give preference to Goans in recruitment for postmen in the state.

In his letter, Sardesai emphasized that local candidates possess a unique familiarity with Goa’s addresses, dialects, and community networks, which is crucial for efficient postal delivery and public service.

If exclusive recruitment of Goans is not feasible, Sardesai suggested the creation of a separate Postal Circle for Goa. Such a move, he argued, would allow for localized administration and greater accountability in the state’s postal services.
