As far as his political future, according to me he is no saint but he has a robin hood image and I don’t think this development will matter to his constituency. I don’t think he will get any sympathy wave either. He has cultivated that image and the whole constituency goes by that image. Ministers have been arrested on charges of corruption before. Earlier he was arrested. Then Mauvin Godinho was arrested. You also have to see if this is the government’s plan to keep them busy till the elections in 2017. Also I look at it from a different angle that the BJP in Goa are under serious pressure from the government in parliament where there is the battle of your corruption versus my corruption or my bad image vs your bad image with

“I am not denying that there is no corruption. There must have been corruption but corruption as a crime is difficult to prove. It may be easy to pin point blame but it is extremely difficult to prove unless you can show the money trail. In the case of A R Raja and BS Yeddyurappa the money trail could be shown. Sometimes the government takes a stupid decision and the decision is corrupt and makes a loss while somebody else makes a profit. How do you prove it? Every wrong decision does not become a crime.
