MARIA REBELLO: Maria Rebello is the Zilla Panch of Benaulim Constituency and has been seen in the Churchill Alemao camp for several years.
“I don’t know how to react. He says he is innocent. A few days back when we met him after the issue was heating, he had said he is innocent and has nothing to do with the case. Now we have to wait and see if the police can prove the allegations. If he is guilty, they will take action against him. For now, people in Benaulim and surrounding areas are calm and not that disturbed.”
PRASHANT NAIK: Prashant Naik was seen canvassing for Churchill Alemao during the 2014 Lok Sabha Election.
Prashant says: “The way Churchill was taken to the Crime Branch was wrong. He was at a party and calling him to find his location and then taking him from there is bad. He was cooperating with the investigations. This is showing distrust in Churchill and he is not that kind of a person. This won’t affect Churchill’s Politics. He will be back with a bang.”
MILROY ANTAO: Milroy Antao has been on the forefront of the Churchill brigade be it for election campaign or the various other youth issues.
Milroy says “Churchill was supposed to fight for the cause of funds to English Medium Primary Schools of Goa. He may have fought for Konkani in the past but Churchill also maintains that the children of the future will be made by English teaching. This is exactly what the Government didn’t want and that is the reason they have blocked him up in this case is they don’t want him to take up the MOI issue.”
HERCULAN NIASSO: Herculan Niasso is a panch of Davorlim and has been seen on the dais of Churchill’s press briefings.
Herculan says “I haven’t been actively partaking with Churchill. It’s just that I had some work of football with him so I was in contact. We are not that close to react on him.”
