Govt to fill all Goa Police vacancies in six months: CM

MAPUSA: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant on Friday said that all the posts in Goa Police including Police Constable, Police Sub-Inspector, Police Inspector and home guards will be filled in next six months. 

“940 posts of police constables and approximate 250 posts of PSI which are already advertised and around 250 posts of PI which will be advertised soon will be filled in next six months. Also the posts of home guards will be filled”, said CM at the inauguration of new Colvale Police Station at WRD quarters Colvale.

This police station is a temporary provision which is made turning quarters of Water Resource Department, located close to the Colvale Central Jail. CM further assured that that Colvale to get a full-fledged police station soon.

CM said, “People especially who are involved in gambling in Colvale area are taken to them for all the issues. But now police will take strict action against those involved in minor crimes”.
