Increase in security at Patradevi, Kiranpani, Satarde checkposts

The security has been increased in the wake of the possibility that Maharashtra Shiv Sena supporters might cause nuisance where the rebel group is residing

PANJIM: The rebel group of Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde is expected to arrive in Goa later tonight and hence, the State government has increased the security forces at Patradevi-Banda, Kiranpani-Aronda and Satarde-Naibag checkposts.

All the vehicles coming from Maharashtra are checked thoroughly. The Pernem PI Vikram Naik and Mopa Airport PI Mahesh Kerkar are overlooking the situation under the guidance of Pernem Deputy Superintendent Siddhant Shirodkar. 

The security has been increased in the wake of the possibility that Maharashtra Shiv Sena supporters might cause nuisance where the rebel group is residing. 

There was a temporary confusion among motorists to see a sudden rise in the security.
