New GCET dates are June 15 & 16

PANJIM: In view of the Board exams for the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) scheduled in April-May, the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2021, for admission to professional degree courses is now scheduled on June 15 and 16.

Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) rescheduled the GCET, which was initially slated to be conducted on May 4-5. DTE has scheduled Physics and Chemistry papers on June 15, while Mathematics on June 16.

GCET is conducted for screening of aspirants to Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) courses.

All students seeking admissions to MBBS, BDS, BHMS (Homeopathy), BAMS (Ayurveda), Allied Health Sciences (Paramedical), BSc in Nursing and BVSc and AH courses are required to appear and qualify at NEET UG-2021(National Entrance Cum Eligibility Test).

In the wake of delayed completion of syllabus due to the COVID pandemic, Goa Board is set to conduct the Class XII exams from April 24 to May 16.
