Herald Team
PANJIM: Heart-felt greetings in the New Year.
As our world changes, at a pace which is sometimes difficult to keep up with, so does the world of news gathering and news distribution. Information dissemination is not only on the go, but even the traditional habit of newspaper reading, is done as much in the old fashioned way as it is done electronically. Those of you are far away from home, especially, need to get the feel of your favourite local paper, for news and vital information like obituaries and announcements or simply to know which are the new tiatr releases.
This will resonate with thousands of Goans who are settled all over the world who log on to the Herald epaper. Some of you do this, well into your work day in the eastern hemisphere  (Singapore, Australia, New Zealand etc.) and others read their Herald post dinner or sometimes early evening, on the day before the date of publication in the extreme West of the world. (Gulf, Europe, Africa and the Americas). While the Herald website is read for a quick look at all that has been happening in Goa, it is the e paper which is savoured and chewed on just like the physical paper you read in Goa.
It has been an endeavour to give you the real flavour of your Herald thousands of miles from home. But it’s an endeavour which gets even more challenging in today’s markets. To
enhance and maintain the quality of the epaper and at the same time invest in making the website cutting edge coupled with additional news gathering efforts, we need to imbibe the best technology and news gathering resources.
Towards that end, we are reaching out to you, our readers, for a nominal subscription fee to access the Herald epaper. From January 3, when you land on the epaper page ( https://epaper.heraldgoa.in) you will be prompted to register on line and  digitally pay the fee of Rs 130 for 30 days or Rs 390 for 90 days. (You can choose one of the two options in the menu). This pricing works out to about Rs 4.30 per day, which is far less than a cup of tea or coffee in any small eatery. Those paying through foreign banks or credit/debit cards will be charged in your local currency. It is roughly equivalent to US $ 2 per month. The payment gateway is very simple and all major forms of digital payments will be accepted.
Herald’s commitment to bringing news, quality views and continuing to be the Voice of Goa, to generations down the line will be unwavering. We thank each one of you, readers, for being a part of Herald’s long and continuing journey as we welcome new readers who join us each day through our print and ever increasing digital platforms.
We look forward to your continued support to your epaper through your subscriptions, to make Herald stronger and committed to the people of Goa.
