PANJIM: The portal of the Directorate of Higher Education for facilitating admissions to BA, BCom, BSC and other equivalent general education undergraduate programmes will open from May 29.
Secretary (Education) and Director of Higher Education Prasad Lolayekar on Wednesday said that the higher education admission portal https://dhe.goa.gov.in/resource/admissiondata/ as well as websites of all the colleges will have contact details of at least three faculty members, who will guide the students as well as parents about National Education Policy (NEP) curriculum and various subject combinations available.
Also awareness videos on the difference between old structure and new structure will also be made available for the benefit of students, he added.
The student will have to visit the website and indicate preference of three college choices. Based on merit and criteria, the Directorate of Higher Education will allot the seat to the applicant student. From this academic year, the colleges will offer a four-year degree course in Arts, Commerce and Science.
