RIT Shiroda gets govt NOC to start degree courses in EEE, ME

PANJIM: The Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology (SRIEIT), popularly known as RIT Shiroda has been granted the NOC by the Goa Government to commence degree courses in two additional streams.
Director of Technical Education, Vivek kamat informed that Goa government has granted its NOC to RIT Shiroda to start degree courses in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) and Mechanical Engineering (ME). 
“It is only NOC from the government to start the course. But the college will have to take permission from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to start the course and then also approach Goa University for Affiliation”, he stated.
With two new courses in the institute, the number of engineering seats in the institute and the State will increase by 120 seats as every course is sanctioned 60 seats for the first year admission. 
Currently, RIT Shiroda offers four years degree courses in Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Engineering, and Information Technology, each having an intake capacity of 60 students. The total number of seats will increase to 300 with the two new courses sanctioned. 
Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology Shiroda is run under the aegis of Shivgram Education Society established by Subhash Shirodkar.
