Briefing media persons Shiv Sena Spokesperson Rakhi Prabhudessai Naik said that even though the excise license has been suspended, an earlier bar and license close to the wild life sanctuary brazenly conducts parties on the weekends where alcohol is served with gay abandon.
“Unfortunately, whenever the place is raided the raiding party does not find anything as apparently the owner is tipped off in advance about the raid and clears all incriminating evidence,” she said adding that prominent people including politicians party at the place.
She said a dog and a cow was killed recently in the area as they came in contact with crude bombs kept to kill the wildlife. “The owners of the animals however compromised the matter and did not even file a police complaint,” she said.
“The wildlife officials and Range Forest Officer keep shifting the blame from one to the other when questioned why no action is taken against these illegalities,” she said adding that the Shiv Sena has decided to take up this matter seriously and will come out with all the evidence and material at the opportune moment.
