PANJIM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on announced the arrival of Southwest Monsoon in Goa on Tuesday.
“Southwest monsoon advanced into Goa, some more parts of Karnataka and Telangana, remaining parts of Rayalaseema, today, June 4,” a statement from IMD Goa said.
Meanwhile, the IMD Goa has issued a yellow alert for both the districts of the State till from June 6 to 8.
“Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over North and South Goa districts of the State on June 6, 7 and 8,” the IMD said.
Meanwhile, Ponda received a rainfall of 0.09 inches of rainfall, Panjim 0.14 inches of rainfall, Old Goa 0.77 inches, Dabolim 1 inches of rainfall and Sanguem 0.18 inches of rainfall during the last 24 hours.
