PANJIM: The All India Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) on Wednesday reconstituted the 38-member State committee, with Samil Volvoikar and Mariano Rodrigues appointed as State Joint Convenors.
Rajendra Kakodkar and Dr Jorson Fernandes have been appointed as chairman for North Goa and South Goa district respectively.
The party’s communication committee consists of Trajano D’Mello as coordinator and Jayesh Shetgaonkar, Peter Alfonso and Anna Gracias as spokespersons.
Speaking to reporters, TMC Goa in charge Kirti Azad said, “New State committee comprises experience and youth having a clean and good image. We have people having standing in society. When you have experience and youth, you get the best result.”
When asked why the party’s senior member and MP Luizinho Faleiro was not on the committee, Azad said that he is neither on the State nor national committee.
Meanwhile, when contacted Luizinho said, “This is in tune with TMC’s one man one post principle since I am Rajya Sabha MP.”
