PERNEM: A 50-year-old resident of Deulwada-Varkhand, Ankush Sakharam Parab, died after he was attacked by a wild boar on Sunday morning.
According to the Pernem Police, at around 9 am, Parab along with his brother had gone to graze their cattle in nearby forest area of Varkhand.
While the two brothers were grazing their cattle, a wild boar apparently attacked Ankush causing him severe deep cuts to his right leg hamstring and left hand bicep that caused him bleed profusely.
Ankush was immediately shifted to nearby Redkar Hospital by his family where the doctor on duty declared him brought dead.
The body was later handed over to his family after conducting post mortem. However, Police Sub-Inspector Sanjit Kandolkar is further investigating the case.
