It is so ironic that we get a glimpse of it when someone is dying, diagnosis with a chronic disease, or when we see or hear something terrible happen around us but we tend to forget so soon and get into our ‘monkey march’ lifestyle.
The quality of life should not be measured by the part of it. Life itself is the best gift. It is a precious gift. Nothing more, nothing less. Unless you understand this truth you can waste it so easily. Life is in itself an amazing gift. When you really understand this fact, you can understand the meaning of life. Life will have meaning when we understand it is a gift, an amazing gift.
Think for a moment about the things that you are worry about; I mean if you think seriously nothing is more precious or amazing than life itself. When you understand life is a splendid gift from above you will never miss out a thing. In fact, sometimes you may not feel your life, as a gift when your life seems stuck somewhere and you don’t see any progress or change rather you keep doing the same routines day after day. But I encourage you today; don’t let the precious moments of life pass you by. Remember, each day is irreplaceable. This is what the scripture teaches us about life in Psalm 90: 12 “Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Life is short, life is brief, and things can change in a split second. And since we don’t know how much time we have, we must learn to use what we have wisely. We must learn appreciating everything we have in life. Every day you live wisely. Every moment you live fully. If you don’t know life is short this is a moment to reconsider a lot of things.. When you have God in your life you will have purpose. If you don’t understand the very fact that life is a gift all the beauty, wonder, love, and experience to be found on earth are meaningless. We are born to be winners and to fly high and to use our gifts for the good of all humanity. None of us are here for ourselves we are to grow to our full potentials and believe that we can create ripples and make this world a better place to live in.. It does not just happen, we have to learn and go through different stages of life numerous rhythms and routines occur in the universe, from the movements of the planets to the cycles of earth’s seasons, the ocean tides, and economic cycles and even in our lives.
In the human body there are many cycles. We can look at the overall cycle of birth, growth, maturity, and the transition back home to spirit, God, the All (or whatever word you use to call it). The key to successful cycles is to open up your inner connection and follow what you feel inside is best for you. As you sense what you truly desire and go for what you can, you will be experiencing and learning what you need in life and feeling fulfilled.
Mature adults have raised families established themselves in their work and become contributors to the betterment of society and we can learn from their example to give more of ourselves to others.
Elders thus represent the source of wisdom that exists in each of us, helping us to avoid mistakes of the past while reaping the benefits of life’s past.
Death & Dying: Life – Those in our lives who are dying, or who have died, teach us about the value of living. They remind us not to take our lives for granted, but to live each moment of life to its fullest.
Since each stage of life has its own unique gift to give to humanity, we need to do whatever we can to support each stage, and to protect each stage from attempts to suppress its individual contribution to the human life cycle.
