In a devastating incident on Tuesday morning, 22-year-old Sanjana Sawant lost her life in a head-on collision involving her two-wheeler and a motorcycle. The accident, which occurred on Tuesday morning, also inflicted severe injuries upon Akshata and the motorcycle rider, Omkar Aroskar, who are presently under medical care at Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim.

In the wake of this tragic incident, Sanjana's grief-stricken father has appealed for justice for his daughters. "My elder daughter is gone, and my other daughter is fighting for her life. I've been at the hospital since morning. All I want is justice for my daughter," he expressed, demanding accountability for his daughter’s death.

Expressing concern over the delay in apprehending the accused, Omkar Aroskar, the father raised questions regarding the handling of the case. "I've heard Omkar is associated with a policeman. Despite his minimal injuries, he was admitted to GMC. I demand his arrest," he asserted, emphasizing a lack of fairness in the current proceedings.

Taking a firm stance, Sanjana's father has declared his refusal to claim her body until Omkar is taken into custody. "If they do not arrest him, or his parents, I will not perform the last rites," he declared.

He strongly urged against any political interference in the matter, reiterating his singular plea for the arrest of Omkar Aroskar.
