RAIA: Arlem Youth Association edged past Navelim Villagers Union 6-4 on penalties to storm into the quarter-finals of the 14th Our Lady of Fatima Cup 2025, organised by Dicarpale Sports Club, at Dicarpale ground, on Wednesday.
Arlem drew first blood in the 12th minute when Sanjiro Pango found the net, a lead they carried into half-time. After the restart, Shoilan Fernandes doubled the advantage in the 40th minute.
But Navelim struck back dramatically, Ronaldo Pereira scoring a brace in injury time (60+1, 60+3) to pull level and force the tie into a shootout. Arlem held their nerve from the spot, proving the more composed side.
Aloy Vaz of Arlem Youth Association was adjudged man-of-the-match, the award presented by Simon Carvalho.
