RAIA: Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose de Areal, defeated Infant Jesus High School, Colva, 3-1 to move into the semi-finals of U-14 boys Fr Peter SVD memorial football tournament played at the SVD Seminary ground, Raia, on Tuesday.
Infant Jesus High School netted the first goal through Farhan Muzawar in the 24th minute but the joy was short-lived as Nathan Carvalho of Bethany Convent High School equalised in the 26th minute.
Bethany Convent High School further inflated the lead by scoring two more goals through Sofiyan Khan and Aakash Agadi in the 35th and 36th minute respectively.
In another match, Our Lady of Rosary High School, Navelim, pipped St Jude High School, Betalbatim, 1-0 to move into the semi-finals.
