RAIA: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda, blanked Sporting Club Cana Benaulim 3-0 to enter into the semi-finals of 44th Gold Silver Rolling Trophy football tournament organised by Navelim Sporting Club at Rosary Church ground, Navelim, on Monday.
The match started on the fast pace and DBO Fatorda’s Edger Noronha missed to tap the ball in the net when the match was just two minutes on. Then, SC Cana Benaulim Faizal Bepari’s power-packed shot hit the crossbar and went out of play. Both teams remained 0-0 draw.
As the match entered into the second session of play, Don Bosco Oratory scored the first goal through Hanshlum Furtado when he placed the ball over the SC Cana Benaulim keeper, while SC Cana Benaulim’s Alejo Fernandes shoot missed the target.
As the match progressed, Don Bosco Oratory further inflated the lead through Velito Miranda and ace striker Francisco Andrade to seal the semi-finals spot.
