Led by BAI National (Grade 2) Umpires Anar Singbal and Aman Raut Dessai, the two-day clinic covered a wide range of topics including the Laws of Badminton, ITTO & GCR essentials, scoresheet accuracy and related topics, followed by a certification exam.

The clinic witnessed enthusiastic participation from 40 aspiring technical officials across Goa. The practical training and on-court evaluation for participants will be conducted during the upcoming State Badminton Ranking Tournaments.

GBA President Manoj Patil said, “Aligned with the Goa government’s vision of making the State a sporting hub, the GBA has launched a series of initiatives in its 60th year to develop not just players, but also coaches and technical officials - building a complete support ecosystem for the sport."

GBA Secretary Praveen Shenoy said, “We are committed to constantly upgrading the standards of technical officials in Goa. Clinics such as these not only help create a new pool of certified umpires but also serve as a valuable refresher for our existing officials, ultimately raising the overall quality of the game."
