FATORDA: Despite the rise in the ISL ticket prices for FC Goa home games, hundreds of passionate fans rushed to the ISL ticket counter to grab the opportunity to watch the match live, at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, on Monday.
Though the ticket counters were supposedly to be opened at 2 p.m, the fans were seen queued up on early Monday morning at the site as early as 4 a.m.
Fatorda’s Basilio Dias after picking up the tickets for the match against FC Pune City said, “I came here very early in the morning and managed to get two tickets. I’m very happy at the moment. FC Goa will surely win this time.”
“The four-hour long wait was worth it. We can do anything to cheer our team,” said another youth Vicky Silveira from Molcornem.
FC Goa tickets are priced at Rs 350 and 499 for North/ South lower and upper stand respectively, while Rs 499 for East lower stand. Rs 900 for East upper stand. West upper stand is priced at Rs 1,400.
FC Goa play their first home game against FC Pune City on October 8.
