Sreesanth's wife, Bhuvneshwari, expressed her fury, calling Lalit Modi and Michael Clarke "heartless" after they shared an unseen video of the notorious 2008 slap-gate incident between Sreesanth and Harbhajan Singh on a YouTube podcast. The video, which showed Harbhajan slapping Sreesanth, was aired by Lalit Modi for the sake of attention.
Bhuvneshwari took to Instagram to voice her anger: "Shame on you, Lalit Modi and Michael Clarke. To bring up something from 2008 just for your personal gain, without any regard for the pain caused, is inhumane. Both Sreesanth and Harbhajan have moved on with their lives, they are fathers now, yet you attempt to reopen old wounds. This is disgusting, heartless, and inhuman."
She further stated, "Sreesanth has shown immense strength and grace in rebuilding his life after all the struggles. As his wife, and the mother of his children, it's heartbreaking to see this painful incident resurface after 18 years. Your actions are forcing families to relive buried trauma just to chase views."
Bhuvneshwari also pointed out the emotional damage done to their children: "This affects not just the players, but their innocent children, who are now facing unnecessary shame and questions." She added, "What you’ve done is cheap and inhumane, and you should be sued. Sreesanth’s dignity cannot be taken away by any video. Fear God before causing harm to families for your gain."
She later accused "beyondcricketpod" of deleting her comment, writing, "Such cowardice! You deleted my comment rather than confronting the truth. If you're posting for views, at least have the courage to let the truth stay."
